AMANDA
MBATA

Amanda Mbata, affectionately known as Amanda Justine is a relational trauma therapist, speaker, educator, consultant, and the founder of Living Waters Counseling and Wellness Center. Known for her dynamic, compassionate, and clinically grounded approach, Amanda helps individuals, couples, organizations, and audiences understand how unresolved relational wounds, internal patterns, and emotional injuries shape how people connect, lead, communicate, and live.
Amanda specializes in helping women break unhealthy relational patterns rooted in abandonment, rejection, anxious attachment, hyper-independence, self-abandonment, and low self-trust so they can build secure, aligned, and emotionally healthy relationships. Her work bridges relational healing, emotional wellness, identity development, and behavioral transformation in a way that is both practical and deeply transformative.
As a highly sought-after speaker and educator, Amanda has facilitated conferences, trainings, workshops, and speaking engagements across the United States and the Caribbean, including notable presentations at The University of the West Indies. She is recognized for her ability to speak on mental health, relationships, trauma, emotional wellness, leadership, and faith in a way that is engaging, culturally aware, clinically informed, and accessible to diverse audiences.
Amanda previously served as an instructor for the University of Kentucky and remains deeply passionate about education, leadership development, and helping people translate psychological insight into meaningful life change. Her professional training includes Gottman Method Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), with a continued commitment to advanced learning and relational trauma education.
In addition to her clinical and coaching work, Amanda partners with organizations, leadership teams, churches, and corporations to support employee and member wellness, emotional health, and relational functioning within workplace cultures. She is particularly passionate about helping organizations address the hidden impact of relational stress, burnout, emotional exhaustion, communication breakdowns, and unresolved trauma that often affect team dynamics, workplace morale, and employee retention.
Amanda is also the creator of The Alignment Lab for Love & Relationships, a transformational coaching experience designed to help women identify and break internal patterns that sabotage healthy connection and intimacy.
Whether through therapy, coaching, consulting, speaking, or education, Amanda’s mission remains the same: helping people heal deeply, relate securely, and live more aligned, emotionally healthy, and authentic lives.
